What a Code Does

Entering a the code during registration attaches a specific campaign to the new account. It does not generate an offer that would not otherwise exist, and it does not change the terms of the campaign it selects.

Promo code terms are the terms of the underlying offer. Reading the code as a discount misunderstands the mechanism, which matters because people frequently expect it to override a rollover figure.

Why Timing Matters

Most codes apply at registration only. Entering one after an account exists usually fails, and where a platform allows it the offer attaches to the next the first deposit rather than retroactively.

The qualifying deposit is the other timing constraint. A first deposit below the campaign's threshold is a valid payment that does not trigger the offer, and first deposits are usually the only ones that qualify.

Checking the Code Is Live

Campaigns are replaced without notice and codes are retired with them. A code published in an article six months old may point at a campaign that no longer runs, which is why the live pages carry the current position.

Where People Lose the Offer

Three mistakes account for almost all of it. Registering without entering the code and expecting to add it later. Depositing below the qualifying amount, which is frequently higher than the site's ordinary minimum. And opting into a different campaign first, which usually blocks the one the code selects.

All three are avoidable in the two minutes before an account exists, and none is recoverable afterwards. That asymmetry is why the sequence matters more than the code itself.

The Setting You Cannot Change

Currency is chosen at registration alongside the code and cannot be altered later. An account held in rupees avoids a conversion applied on the way in and again on the way out, at a spread that never appears as a fee.
